NAVI MUMBAI: The residents of Sector 8B, Belapur CBD, are very angry to notice an obscene graffiti that has suddenly come up on a wall next to Kalpataru housing society. The bold graffiti made with bright red spray paint mainly tries to objectify and demean women.

The residents have asked CBD police to investigate this and arrest the culprits behind this vulgarity. We suspect that this obscene graffiti has been created by some drug addicts who hang around here or some stupid youngsters. With so much anger among citizens today against rapists and molesters, it is time that such vulgar statements made by anonymous people be condemned,'' said Aditi Lahiri, one of the Belapur residents.

According to the complaint letter submitted to the police by the residents, the graffiti states: 'Man made grass. God made women. Smo*** the women, f*** the women'. CBD police has now asked the local residents to remove the dirty grafitti from the wall. Further investigation is on. Another angry resident stated: Under the cover of anonymity, there is no heroic in stating such vulgar and nonsensical things. If these culprits really have the guts to mean what they say, then they should come forward and say so openly. We would also like to meet their parents or guardians to know what kind of upbringing such graffiti artistes have had all these years.''
