MUMBAI: A cable operator has been booked by the DN Nagar police in a case of murder which occurred a year ago. Ravikumar Shettiyaar, 48, the deceased, was a tenant of the accused, Madhurai Devendra, 38. Officials said Shettiyaar was killed as he wasn't vacating Devendra's flat.
"On January 1, 2012, Devendra attacked Shettiyaar with a heavy object and injured him on his head and torso. The body was found the next day and a case of accidental death was registered as there was no eyewitness. However, a detailed medical examination showed that it was a case of homicide," a senior police official said. Further investigations are on.
