This is second such incident of prostitution in Bhiwandi in the recent past. Last year, three people brought a woman from Kolkata after promising her a job and when she refused to enter comply with their prostitution demands, they slashed off her breasts and burnt her private parts with cigarettes.
The recent incident came to light on Saturday morning when the accused, identified as Saleem, took the victim to IGM hospital in Bhiwandi and she fled from there. Some locals spotted her fleeing and took her to police station. The victim has said Saleem had taken her to Nahur and kept her there for a day before selling her off to a Bhiwandi resident for Rs 1 lakh. The buyer reportedly took the victim Hauman Tekdi in Bhiwandi. The woman is reportedly married and has two children.
