9 killed, 10 injured in separate rail accidents in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Nine commuters were killed and 10 were injured in separate accidents on railways in Mumbai on Monday. Of the deceased, four have not been identified. One of the deceased also includes a woman. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has been appealing to commuters to not cross tracks which is the biggest reason for deaths on the railways.

On Monday, a maximum of four mishaps were recorded in the jurisdiction of Thane GRP. Three mishaps were recorded in the jurisdiction of CST GRP. Of the total 19 mishaps reported, 12 occurred on the Central line.

On Sunday, 11 commuters were killed and 10 were injured in separate mishaps on the railways.
