Pradnya Sarvade first vigilance chief of Cidco

MUMBAI: IPS officer Pradnya Sarvade will be the first Cidco vigilance chief. An officer of the 1989 batch, she was the inspector general (procurement and supply). She has worked as a deputy police commissioner in the city, in the state anti-corruption bureau, CBI's Bank Securities and Fraud Cell and at SEBI.

Additional commissioner police Niket Kaushik, who was heading the crime branch, has been promoted as IG and transferred to the anti-terrorism squad (ATS). Kaushik, an officer of the 1994 batch, has worked as deputy commissioner in the city, besides a stint in the state ACB.

Additional DG (establishment ) Satish Mathur, an IPS officer of the 1981 batch, will be the Pune police commissioner and replaces Gulabrao Pol. He has been shifted to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited as vigilance officer. K Venkatesham will be the new IG of police procurement in place of Sarvade. Nashik SP Praveen Padwal has been shifted to Mumbai as DCP and Sanjay Jadhav appointed as DCP Thane.
