National Students Union of India to boycott American goods

MUMBAI: If the US government does not withdraw charges against Devyani Khobragade and issue an apology the National Students Union of India (NSUI) will boycott American goods, said

NSUI Mumbai president Suraj Singh Thakur.

The NSUI which is a student body of the Congress party held a demonstration outside the US consulate at Bandra-Kurla Complex on Friday to protest the charges of visa fraud framed against IFS officer Khobragade.

Students tied black bands around their eyes in protest against her arrest and strip search.

Thakur said they expected the US to issue an apology within a week and if it failed to do so, they would ensure a boycott of all American goods by Indian students.
