MUMBAI: The Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology (VESIT) organised a two-day techfest at the institute's campus in Chembur. The technoholics' fiesta - 'PRAXIS' held on July 31 and Aug 1 had several events and exhibits on display, with several ideas from the students converting into projects.
The event consisted of various technically oriented competitions and is an experience that combined the art and science of theoretical learning with the virtues of practical know how. The technology festival hosted around 150 events which encompassed every wavelength of the technical spectrum. The events hosted by students included multilevel robotics, robo soccer, brainwave, LAN gaming, weave the web, open software and many more.
These events perfectly blended into this celebration of knowledge, experimentation and learning. Apart from the events at the institute level, the students are also given a chance to showcase their talent in discipline specific events comprising of technology as well as management related fields.
Praxis had something in store for all, as in many events students were allowed to participate on the spot. There was a vast multitude of quizzes, seminars, hardware contests, online treasure hunt and much more.
