MUMBAI: A 20-year-old man was arrested by the Dahisar police on Tuesday in connection with the murder case of a flour mill worker last month.

Phulchand Yadav, 50, the victim, had been bludgeoned with a hammer on November 24. His body was found in a pool of blood at the Shree Krishna flour mill at Dahisar East.

The accused, Rameshkumar Madeshia, was an acquaintance of Yadav. Witnesses saw him entering the flour mill on the night of the murder, the reason why he is the prime suspect, police said.

On November 23, Yadav had dinner with neighbouring shopkeepers. Yadav was last seen alive at 11.30 pm.

Witnesses claimed that Madeshia arrived at the flour mill, located in Ambika Sadan society, at 1 am on November 24. He left in half an hour.
