Sugar-free Mango chocolates for V-Day at Konkan fest

NAVI MUMBAI: For the calorie conscious romantics who are already feeling the `choc shock' thinking of all the sweet candies and chocolates they will have to eat or gift on Valentine's day, the ongoing Konkan Saras festival at the Cidco Exhibition Centre in Vashi offers a healthy solution.

Farm produced mango chocolates made of mango pulp in Konkan regions of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are currently on sale at the Konkan festival. ``These mango chocolates have come straight from the mango farms, and are neatly wrapped in plastic. On the Valentine's Day, these can be an ideal gift for your partner,'' said a saleswoman at the exhibition.

These chocolates come in two colours -- rich yellow and dark brown -- and have zero artificial sugar additives.

Over 300 women's self-help groups from Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg have put up stalls to showcase an array of homemade products at the festival till February 16.
