A grand launch of D’Bell Cafe and Lounge

The launch of D'Bell Cafe and Lounge at Lower Parel was an eventful bash. Shrikant Bhasi, film producer and chairman, Carnival Group, invited his friends and colleagues for an intimate evening that had music, comedy and dance. Spotted during the evening were Vinod Nair and Mitali Singh, among others.

As guests sampled the fare, the evening kickstarted with an acoustic performance by The Roshni Baptist Trio, which got the guests grooving right at the start of party.

Stand-up comic Karunesh Talwar then took over with some jokes that generated guffaws. Following this was a performance by Naveen Kumar and Mitre. Naveen Kumar, who's AR Rahman's trusted flautist, also enthralled the crowed with evergreen tunes from his films 'Bombay', 'Roja', 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' and 'Jodhaa Akbar', apart from his band's folk fusion performances.

The night ended with DJ Sa spinning some hip-hop and retro numbers that got everyone on the dancefloor. While the performances took place, the guests were also given a taste of elaborate world cuisines and beverages. Despite the party taking place on a weekday, most of the guests stayed well past midnight.
