The teenagers Dinesh Jadhav (15), Aakash Rathod and Satish Vishwakarma, both 16, had left their homes without informing their parents on March 7. All class ninth students, the boys are believed to have taken a train to UP. When they did not return home after school, their parents went in search of them. It was then that each of the boys parents found out that the three were missing. One of the boys had a cellphone which was switched off.
The parents registered a complaint with the Vasai police who kept the cellphone of the student on tracking. However, to the surprise of the parents, one of the boys called his mother and informed her about his whereabouts on Monday. The parents approached the police, who have left for UP to get them back.
Police said that it was unclear why the boys left home. The parents too said they were clueless as to why the boys decided to run away from home.
