The incident comes just a week after a body of one and half year old boy who went missing in the same vicinity was found in a gutter. Police had detained the boy's father on suspicion and they were yet to solve the mystery behind the murder when another body was found on Saturday.
According to the police on Thursday Rutuza Laxman Dorkar, who was playing outside her slums in Maharashtra Nagar in Trombay went missing in afternoon. The parents and neighbours and police carried a thorough check all over the area but could not find her after which they lodged a missing complaint with the police.
Though prima facie it looks like an accident that the deceased child while playing fell down in the open gutter, police are not taking any chance and hence for formalities have send her body for post mortem and awaiting reports.
