"The rail block will be undertaken to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment," a WR spokesperson said. "We are having the block between Santacruz and Goregaon stations from 10.35 am to 3.35 pm today on the Up and Down Local (slow) lines."
During the block period, all Up and Down slow trains will run on through (fast) lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations. All Up and Down 12-car slow trains will take double halt at Vile Parle platform numbers 3/4 on the fast lines.
"Due to the block, some suburban services will remain cancelled," an official stated. "Detailed information to this effect is available with station masters at all stations," he said.
