MUMBAI: MNS party workers showed black flags to the Mumbai Mayor Snehal Ambekar at the inauguration of the BMC flower exhibition at the Byculla Zoo on Friday. The party has been fighting against the playground adjoining the Bhau Daji Lad museum which they fear would be lost as a part of the museum expansion plans. They showcased the black flags to show their displeasure over the playground being lost and the authorities doing little over it they claimed

On Thursday, for the second time the notice of motion moved by MNS corporator Samita Naik to re-open the 2003 Corporation Resolution that led to the formation of the trust to run the Bhau Daji Lad museum was rejected. "I have been fighting to save the playground which might be taken away as a part of the Museum expansion plans we fear." Over the last weekend the MNS corporator Naik expecting public opinion to save the playground held a referendum. A majority of locals voted in support of the playground demanding it not be taken a way.
