Police have detained two men in the case for questioning after the victim's daughter in her complaint alleged that the three, who are there neighbours, attacked them and hit her mother pulling by her hair and dragged her in the house before pointing gun at her. "Based on the complaint, two men has been detained. We have seized the ricochet bullet shell which was found in the room. The assailants' intention was to scare the victims," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone VII) Vinaykumar Rathod.
During the probe, the police found out the victim and the accused family were already had fight in the past and has cross FIRs registered against each other last year in October after a female member (Rashida alias Munni) was killed during clash between the two families in the locality. "Among the three accused, one is Rashida's son while others are brother and brother-in-law who shot at Pillai but escaped," said a police officer of the Pant Nagar police.
A case under the Indian Penal Code sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) has been registered against the three men.
