MUMBAI: The ongoing megablock on the Central Railway main line has slowed down the running of trains. The block is being carried out between Mulund and Matunga till 4.15 pm. The block is mainly on the Up fast line. The Up fast services leaving Thane till 4.13 pm will be diverted on UP slow line between Mulund and Parel stations halting at all stations upto Parel and further re-diverted on Up fast line proper at Parel station.
These trains will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule. The Down fast line services leaving CST till 2.54 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule. All slow locals arriving and leaving CST till 5 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule. "Due to these blocks, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are requested not to take any risks while travelling. They are also requested to avoid travelling on foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains," an official added.
