MUMBAI: A 36-year-old driver, employed with a travel agency, was found murdered in a bus that he used to drive for work, at Borivali East on Tuesday. Police officials suspect that he had a dispute with someone as his belongings appeared to be intact and robbery does not seem to be a motive.

Bidan Kuri, 36, the deceased, was employed with Ghatkopar-based Samadhan Travels. His work included picking up employees of various private companies in the bus and dropping them at their destinations. At night, he would park the bus on the north-bound stretch of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway, near Tata Steel at Borivali, and sleep in it.

"Kuri's body was discovered in the bus around 1.30pm on Tuesday. We learnt that he used to park his bus at the same spot every night. The body was found beneath one of the seats. Kori's head was caked in blood. A paver block or stone was used to bludgeon him, along with a tool used to vehicle repairs," said an official with the Kasturba Marg police.

The body was sent for an autopsy. The cops are now probing who were the people with whom Kuri interacted frequently and if he had a scrap with anyone. A acse of murder was registered by the Kasturba Marg police.
