Women’s education can solve social problems: Minister

MUMBAI: Women's education can be the only solution for the social problems faced by the country, Union minister for railways, Suresh Prabhu, said on Friday. He was addressing the 64th convocation ceremony at the SNDT University. The convocation was telecast live at 19 locations. The university awarded degrees and diplomas to 15,660 students for its programmes on the completion of their PhD, MPhil, masters and postgraduate diplomas apart from undergraduate programmes. In all, 70 PhD and 12 MPhil degrees were conferred during the convocation on Friday. tnn
