Cop and his tout trapped in graft case.

A police constable and a private person who demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a civil contractor were arrested by the anti corruption bureau (ACB) on Wednesday. Constable Hemant Satam and his friend Ashok Sauder were booked under the prevention of corruption act.

According to the complaint, the civil contractor was carrying out some repair work at Malad slums. Satam who is attached to the Malad police station went to the site and threatened the contractor to book him for illegal construction. Satam demanded Rs 25,000 to keep his mouth shut. He send his friend Suader to collect the first installment of Rs 15,000 when ACB caught them.
