Tharoor, Hirani and Shaina NC celebrate the first India-US education initiative in Mumbai

Rajkumar Hirani, popularly known in the industry as Raju Hirani, graced the launch of a new education initiative between India and the US. His blockbuster film 3 Idiots created a wave across the nation depicting the ill-effects of rote-learning that our education system encourages. Being part of this event, Raju showed his solidarity toward unique programs that promote progressive learning, something that the US is bringing to our nation.

The event was also graced by Congress leader, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, real estate tycoon, Niranjan Hiranandani, designer-politician, Shaina NC, and many other eminent dignitaries.Talking about this initiative, Raju said, "I'm glad to be here. An education system that encourages our students to think and grow is very refreshing."

Talking about this alliance, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament and Chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on External Affairs, said, "I am delighted to speak about this initiative. It will be a platform for exchanging ideas, knowledge and skills in the field of higher education. As a former Education minister, collaboration with various countries in the field of education is something that I have always attached a lot of importance to. I've been notorious for saying this repeatedly that our education system is over regulated and under governed. It is the opposite in the US system."

Discussing the journey of bringing the first US state to India, Kanika Choudhary, Hon. Ambassador and Special Envoy, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, said, "I am extremely delighted to see the fruition of something that we have been working on for a few years now."
