MUMBAI: A 14-year-old student was allegedly molested by her teacher who offered to drop her home in his car at Talasari, around 135 kms from Mumbai, on Thursday. The teacher is absconding.
According to the Talasari police, the student was waiting for a bus at the bus stop at around 1 pm. Her teacher arrived in his car and offered to drop her home. He drove away with her to a secluded place and tried to touch her inappropriately. The girl began screaming, following which the teacher halted the car. She alighted from the car and approached some passersby who brought her home.
On Friday, the student along with her parents registered a complaint with the police. The teacher is absconding. He has been booked for molestation.
