NEW DELHI: Actor Salman Khan, who is facing trial for killing a pavement dweller and injuring four others in a 2002 hit and run case, has tested positive for alcohol content in his blood at the time of accident.

A forensic expert told a sessions court in Mumbai on Wednesday that content of alcohol in Salman's blood was higher than permissible limit.

According to Times Now, the alcohol content in Salman's blood was 62mg, which is more than double the permissible limit of 30mg.

Salman is on trial in the sessions court for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

The actor allegedly rammed his four-wheeler over people sleeping on a footpath on Hill Road in Bandra (west) opposite a bakery killing one and injuring four others.
