MUMBAI: A fire broke out, at a high rise in Mumbai central on Monday morning at 11.15 am.

Fire officials and fire tenders from Worli, Byculla, Bendi Bazaar.

Rajkumar Sharma, who lives on 18 th floor but was out on duty said that he received a call from out house peon who said he was stuck inside the servant quarters. "A major tragedy has been averted. We are waiting to see the extent of damage." There is only one entrance. There are two flats on every floor with two servant quarters.

62 to 65 people are said to have been rescued and some sent to Jag Jeevan hospital for treatment.
