Malad MLA Aslam Shaikh flouted poll code, cops tell EC

The Malad police have informed the election returning officer about Congress candidate Aslam Shaikh reportedly violating the poll code of conduct. Shaikh has been accused of installing benches at a housing colony on Marve Road, Malad (West).

"If the returning officer finds out in his inquiry that the election code of conduct% has been violated and informs us about the same, we will register a case against the Congress candidate," said senior inspector Arun Mane of Malad police.
