The complainant Mathura Darmude in her complaint to the police alleged that on Monday afternoon, when she alongwith two other NCP workers was busy in campaigning for the party candidate Nilesh Shinde in Ganesh Nagar area, two lady workers intercepted and threatened them not to campaign for Shinde.
When the three workers denied to listen, the accused allegedly assaulted them and asked them to come at Gaikwad's.
Based on the complaint the police have booked unknown duo under section 392,341,323,504,506 and 34 of Indian Penal code and have launched manhunt for the accused.
Ganpat was unavailable for comment but his close associates who do not wished to be named alleged that the NCP leader Shinde had deliberately tried to malign Gaikwad's image.
