KALYAN: The election officials on Tuesday lodged a case against three candidates including BJP's Narendra Pawar, Shiv Sena's Vijay Salvi and independent candidate Prakash Mutha for allegedly violating code of conduct by using party flags in the city without taking permission.

The election commission official Anil Lad in his complaint to Mahatma Phule police alleged that the candidates Pawar, Salvi and Mutha used flags across the city illegally without taking permission.
Lad claimed that as per rules the candidates should take permission for each flags used by them for campaigning and they should also show it's expenses. But the three candidates violated the rules. The Mahatma Phule police in Kalyan have registered a case and further probe is on.
