MSEB employee held for taking bribe

KALYAN: Thane Anti Corruption Bureau have arrested, a 32-year-old contract basis employee posted with MSEB department for accepting bribe of Rs 700 in Dombivli on Saturday evening.

The accused has demanded bribe to change complainant's electric meter. The ACB officials said recently complainant had approach MSEB demanding to change old electricity meter with new one however accused Jitendra Gajare,32, posted in MSEB on contract basis demanded bribe of Rs 1000 from complainant to change meter.

Following to money demand complainant recently approach Thane ACB who laid trap and on Saturday evening arrested Gajare from Kasturi plaza building while accepting red hand settlement amount of Rs 700.
