A division bench of Justice V M Kanade and Justice P D Kode passed these direction after taking suo motu cognisance of the victim's letter written on September 16 to the chief justice in which she apprehended threat to her life.
Public prosecutor Sandeep Shinde said ``protection is being accorded to her from today itself.'' The judges have asked him to submit a report on Friday on whether protection has been given to the victim.
On September 12, the victim who works in an educational institution with which Dhoble is closely associated, complained to the police that he allegedly sexually abused her, beat her and clicked obscene pictures of her and warned of dire consequences if she revealed to anyone. Dhoble was booked for rape and criminal intimidation.
