Ajay Goreware (20), a resident of Datta Mandir Akash Ganga building in Vakola,Santacruz (east) was stabbed by his brother-in-law Kiran Wagle, who stays in the same building.
Wagle told Goreware to accompany him to Nalasopara for some work. They were accompanied by Wagle's three friends. After they reached Dongri village in Nalasopara (west), they slashed his throat with a sharp weapon.
Goreware screamed for help which alerted the locals. The suspects fled. Goreware was admitted to the Alliance Hospital in Nalasopara (east).
The police have registered a case of attempt to murder under Section 307 of the IPC.
