Goregaon lift mishap: Cops begin probe

MUMBAI: The police are trying to ascertain whether or not there was any negligence on part of the builder or the construction firm in the lift mishap in Goregaon, which led to the death of two workers and left four others injured.

The incident occurred in an under-construction building near Oberoi mall on Thursday.

A case has been registered under IPC sections 304-A (causing death due to negligence) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).

"We are looking into the role of people implementing the project," said Uttam More, senior inspector at Aarey Sub police station.
