Three shooters from UP held in Shiv Sena leader firing case

AMBERNATH: The Ulhasnagar crime branch recently arrested three more accused including supari taker in connection with famous 2011 firing at Shiv Sena local unit chief Arvind Walekar in Ambernath. The probe revealed that main accused Panarinath Waringe gave Rs 20 lakh supari to the main shooter.

Those who are arrested identified as Rajesh Singh, Sherbahadur Singh alias Amit Singh and Rajesh Shukla.

All three are residents of Sultanpur and Lucknow district in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, the police had arrested 10 others who were involved in the shoot out including corporator Pandarinath Waringe. Trio arrested in this week with help of UP police.

Walekar, survived but his bodyguard Shamsundar Yadav and one of the shooter accused died in cross firing out of five shooters who barged in to Shiv Sena sakha office and started continuously firing on Walekar.
