Currently, there are nine fire stations in south Mumbai.
The Mandvi, Indira Dock, Byculla were declared as dilapidated, to be added to the list are Nariman Point, Colaba and Memonwada.
More than 50 families of fire department personnel are likely to be affected after these three fire stations have been declared as dilapidated recently.
The civic body had asked all its departments to undertake structural stability audits of its structures after a municipal building collapsed killing more than 60 people in Dockyard Road. The BMC has ordered structural audits for all its buildings that are older than 30 years.

Records reveal that 21 fire stations in the city are over three decades old.
After from the fire stations located in South Mumbai a few other stations have also been declared as dilapidated.
While both of Mandvi and Indira dock fire stations have been completely shut and the office will be relocated in Byculla, the families from the residential quarters have been shifted to nearby fire stations.
"The shifting of fire stations will increase our response time that it takes for them to reach the spot in case of a fire within our jurisdiction," said a fire department official.
"The BMC has been indifferent towards repairing its buildings. Officials have woken up only after a collapse," he added.
"We are having a tough opposition from our own firemen as most of them don't want to shift as it will disrupt the family's life. But there is very little that we can do, there is now option but to shift them,"said a senior fire official.
In the western suburbs, eighty-three families living in the Marol staff quarters will be shifted to Borivili and Mankhurd after their tenements were listed as unsafe.
Meanwhile, 10 families living on the Deonar fire station premises have been shifted to Mankhurd station, and over 10 families from Byculla have already been vacated.
