On August 1, five people, armed with guns and choppers, attacked Pujari who was seated inside the bar. The accused opened fire at Pujari . While one of the bullets hit Pujari's chest, another missed the target. The accused then stabbed Pujari several times and left the bar only after ensuring that he was dead. The accused and the victim reside in Khar (E) and had previous enmity, said the police.
Jathar and Karne were arrested from Jawahar Nagar in Khar (E). The police said that Jathar had reportedly assaulted the deceased with a chopper and Karne was involved in the murder conspiracy.
The police are interrogating the two about their associates, including one Rahul Sharma who had fired two bullets on Pujari. The victim used to work with a private cargo firm at the domestic airport. He is survived by his wife, a fiveyear-old son and his mother.
