MUMBAI: In a major jolt to SharadPawar ledNCP, Yavatmal assembly constituency in-charge of the party, BalasahebIngole, defected to join the Congress party. On Saturday, Ingole was inducted in the party in presence of ManikraoThakre-state Congress president and other office bearers, said release issued by the Congress party.
"Ingole's supporters in the NCP too will join the Congress party in coming days," Thakre said during the induction function held at Tilak Bhavan, the Congress party office at Dadar in Mumbai.
Sachin Sawant, the Congress party spokesperson claimed that with Ingole joining the party, the Congress will emerge more stronger in the Yavatmal area of the Vidarbha region.
