BEST panel to seek bus commuter feedback today

MUMBAI: BEST committee members plan to interact directly with bus commuters this afternoon to listen to their grievances.

"In a first-of-its-kind move, we have planned five routes from various parts of city to Dadar wherein our committee members will be in the bus along with celebrities(Marathi TV serial/film actors). While commuters can interact with the celebs, they can also give suggestions, feedback and complaints to the committee members on our bus services,'' said BEST committee chairman Nana Ambole. Commuters can also give suggestions on new routes, passenger amenities and the need for more special buses for women commuters.

The buses will ply from Dindoshi, Ghatkopar, Goregaon, Santacruz and Opera House depots from 4 pm, sources said.

"Depending on the feedback and demand, we will consider every suggestion on priority,'' Ambole said. The interaction will be part of the BEST Day celebrations, which will be observed on Wednesday. ""Our buses will terminate at Prabhadevi from where the celebs and committee members will proceed for Ravindra Natyamandir for a grand function on the occasion of BEST Day,'' he added.
