MUMBAI: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) founder Raj Thackeray and his wife, Sharmila, inaugurated a four-star business hotel at Andheri on Tuesday. The hotel, Aura Grande, is owned by Annakoot Properties Ltd who have been running the Saffron Spice fine dining restaurant at Powai and MIDC since 2003.
Thackeray cut the ribbon and lit the ceremonial lamp before interacting with the audience assembled. He toured the hotel along with the joint owners, Nandkumar Hendre, Pramod Hendre, Supriya Joshi and Suhas Joshi.
As part of the hotel's phase-II development plans a rooftop pool, a gymnasium and a health club will be introduced soon. An inaugural offer of 50% discount on rooms was announced.
"We are committed to offer an Indian hospitality experience along with our popular food at Saffron Spice," the four joint owners said in a press release. The release also said that Thackeray had taken a look at the property and liked its infrastructure and amenities.
The hotel has 89 deluxe rooms or larger executive rooms and the lounge bar 'Green Jade' redefines relaxation.
