MUMBAI: Students of the National Institute of Fashion Technology at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, will hold a protest on Monday and Tuesday against their fee hike. A student, on condition of anonymity said, the college has increased its fee drastically, up to Rs 50,000, and they shall be increasing it by a minimum 10% every year, for all students, including existing students. NIFT, which was functioning under the ministry of textiles recently, lost the affiliation over financing problems, she added. "The board then decided to break ties with the ministry and net the 'required' money from students." she added.
