Manisha Koirala stays positive

MUMBAI: Few celebrities talk about their personal battles with cancer. Indo-Canadian actor Lisa Ray changed all that. Cricket hero Yuvraj Singh followed suit. Now, Bollywood actor Manisha Koirala, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year, is emerging as the new poster girl in the fight against the Big C.

Manisha was admitted to Jaslok Hospital on November 28 after reportedly falling unconscious. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and underwent surgery in a New York hospital. She is using social networking to show her positive attitude and talk of motivational speakers she follows.

Her friend said, "Manisha is positive and sure of fighting cancer." After the diagnosis, she made a "please no sadness" plea to friends. "I'm fine and will be fine no matter the outcome," she posted on the net. In "gratitude", she said, "Let's celebrate life in all forms. Thank you again for your prayers."
