The HC judge Justice A M Thipsay who granted bail, stayed his order for two weeks on a plea made by CBI counsel.
The HC had earlier recently rejected the bail plea of Deputy Superintendent of police M L Parmar another accused police official in the Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter case and the subsequent killing of Shaikh's wife Kausarbi.
Narendra Aminand Parmar along with police inspector Balkrishna Rajendra Prasad had moved court last year for bail.
The HC after hearing Amin's counsel Mahesh Jethmalani and Pranav Badheka had sought Amin's plea medical report.
Jethmalani had argued that apart from the merits of the case the court should also take into account Amin's health condition.
The CBI counsel Hiten Venegaokar had argued that not only was Amin present during the cremation of Kausarbi but he had accompanied the body along with another police sub inspector to the spot of the cremation.
Senior counsel Ram Jethmalani, had earlier argued that the only role attributed to him was that he was present at the cremation of Kausarbi along with other accused police officials in the encounter case.
