Longest human chain in Mumbai

MUMBAI: The Sant Nirankari Mandal,Mumbai is organizing a massive 45 km long Human Chain in Mumbai on January 19, starting from Trident Hotel, Nariman Point, in the City and culminating at Dahisar Check Naka in the western suburb, with about 45000 devotees participating between 7.30 am to 9.30 am. \

The driving factor behind this initiative is to spread the concept of Oneness among human beings -- whose realization is must to foster human unity thereby leading to peace, harmony and peaceful co-existence. Devotees from Nasik, Pune, Raigad, Chiplun would be joining their fellow devotees from Mumbai Metropolitan in the chain formation. Holding placard, banners and singing inspiring songs, Nirankari devotees and the Sewa Dal volunteers will be one and synchronous in their effort to spread the message. \

The route of the 'Human Chain' is as under:- (Start ) Nariman Point-Girgaum Chowpatty-Peddar Road-Jaslok hospital-Haji Ali-Worli Naka-Century Bhuvan-Shivaji Park-Hinduja Hospital-Mahim Church-Bandra flyover-Turner Road Signal-Khar Police Station -Poddar School-Milan Subway-Irla-Andheri Station West-Jogeshwari Station West -Oshiwara Naka-Marve Road-Kandivali Station West -Borivli Station West -Dahisar Station West -Ketki pada-Dahisar Check Naka (End). Enroute, 10 control points have been designated for effective management of the chain.

This Human Chain is reportedly going to be unique in its length and character, in order to promote unity and human harmony
