The total size of the BMC budget Rs 33415 crore with Rs 2.74 crore surpluses. The BMC has allocated Rs 11836 crores for the capital expenditure that is spending on development projects for betterment of the city infrastructure like roads, water projects.

Construction of new museum behind Dr Bhau Daji lad building expected to start in September 2015 and a provision of 40 crore has been proposed.
BMC budget has proposed to hold Mumbai cultural festival every in December January involving people of National and international eminence. Proposed provision of 25 lakhs for the same and Maharashtra tourism will anchor this program.
A provision of Rupees 5.25 crores proposed for public toilets facility for ladies in crowded areas.
35 paise per 1000 litr hike proposed for slum consumers residing in hilly areas.
20% hike proposed in sewerage charges which is part of water tax.
It has been proposed that all street lights in Mumbai to be converted into LED lights by 2015 September.
