20 deputy police commissioners transferred in Mumbai

MUMBAI: As many as 20 deputy police commissioners of police from Mumbai were transferred to various places in the state and the new comers were given postings on Thursday. Most of the new deputy police commissioners will take charge from Monday, said police sources.

Among those transferred include zone II DCP Nisar Tamboli, who has been sent to Nashik police head quarters while Nashik (rural) SP Pravi Padwal has been attached to Mumbai's economic offences wing. Tamboli has been replaced by DCP Sandip Karnik while detection crime branch DCP Satya Narayn has been sent to zone IX in Bandra while his previous office will be occupied by DCP Dhananjay Kulkarni.

2005 batch IPS officer S Jaykumar, who started his career from Malegaon, will be replacing Vinayak Deshmukh in zone III while DCP Mohan Dahikar will be taking care of detection crime branch. Pubjabrao Ugale, who earlier served in state CID, will b replacing DCP Pravin Patil. Anand Mandya has been posted at Traffic division as DCP.
