The accused, Ajit Vadakayil (58), had allegedly posted a defamatory post on social media about actor Aamir Khan and his TV show.

A press note issued by the city police stated the complaint was about publication of grossly offensive and false information about Aamir Khan and his talk show, Satyamev Jayate, Seasson 1, on various web sites and blogs. The cyber crime investigation cell arrested Vadakayil from Manipal in Karnataka under the Information Technology Act. Vadakayil was granted bail.
