Cops urge Rhea Chakraborty to file FIR

MUMBAI: The police urged video Jockey and actor Rhea Chakraborty to file an FIR in the incident where she alleged that unknown man groped her in her building premises on Tuesday. Earlier she refused to file the FIR and didn't inform the police about the molestation incident. But she twitted aggressively about the incident after which senior officers talk to her desperately and requested her to file the FIR.

The police said that initially she didn't tell them about the molestation. They said that she told them that she had an argument with a well-dressed man while they were standing outside the building lift and she kicked him after he tried to follow her in the lift.

In her statement, she said, "I would like to thank everyone for their support and encourvvaging words I have tweeted about this unfortunate incident only to highlight the dismal reality and ask all women to be more aware. The police are doing their job and I am confident they will get to the bottom of this matter."

On Thursday, senior office spoke with her family members and requested them to convince Rhea file an FIR.
