55-year-old bank employee found dead in Bandra hotel

MUMBAI: The police found the body of a 55-year-old Delhi-based bank employee in a hotel room at Bandra (W) on Sunday. Cops suspect that the deceased, Rajivkumar Gupta, died of a cardiac arrest. The family of the deceased was informed and a case of accidental death has been registered.

Gupta came to Mumbai on February 24 for a meeting and was staying in the hotel. His son had been calling him since Saturday repeatedly, but Gupta had not been taking the calls. The son then called the hotel on Sunday and requested them to check Gupta's room. The hotel employee found Gupta lying near a bed. He was taken to Bhabha Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
