MUMBAI: Maharashtra governor K Sankaranarayanan will inaugurate the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund Collection Drive for the year 2012-13 on Monday. The inauguration will be held at Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.
The Armed Forces Flag Fund Collection Drive is jointly organised by the Mumbai city and Mumbai suburban districts. The flag fund is utilized for the welfare of families of the jawans who laid down their lives defending the country, ex-servicemen and their families.
The Governor will felicitate individuals, organizations and government officials who have done outstanding work of raising the flag fund during the year 2011-12 on this occasion.
