MUMBAI: Urging Mumbaikars to don their jogging shoes, the H-West Federation once again brings you 'MUST Run', this time in the form of a half-marathon and other races, on Sunday.
The initiative will once again highlight a few critical causes. This time, the Federation has tied up with Habitat for Humanity India as Lead Charity Partner on the cause of decent housing and sanitation for the poor in Maharashtra.
The 'MUST Run'kicked off at 6.30 am from Apostolic Carmel High School, Bandra, and comprised a number of events including the Half-Marathon, the Veterans' Run, the Senior Citizens' Walk, the Youth Run, the Wheelchair event for the physically challenged and the School Children's Run. The half-marathon will wind its way through the suburbs of Bandra, Khar and Santacruz and will terminate like all the other runs at St Stanislaus High School Grounds.
Commenting on the initiative, Anandini Thakoor, chairperson of the H-West Federation said: "This time we wish to address the need for decent shelter through the work of Habitat for Humanity. The Khar Library that has been the mainstay of the Federation as well as several citizens' initiatives in Mumbai is more than 75 years old.
