MUMBAI: For the second year in a row, parents of Class VIII students of St George School in Mulund have to hunt for a new school as it has not been able to secure affiliation from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. School secretary P T Kurien said the school is planning to gradually close the ICSE section. "We could not secure affiliation from the CISCE due to land limitation criteria. From this year, we are not taking admissions in lower classes. After Class VIII can continue at our state board section or move to our sister concern schools," he said. Rajesh Ingle, who wrote to education minister Vinod Tawde on the issue, said, "Students have been asked to move to a Navi Mumbai school. It's impossible for them to travel so far. The school is also taking entrance test."—Vinamrata Borwankar
