Extra first AC coach in Jodhpur train

MUMBAI: The Western Railway has decided to add an extra coach in a Jodhpur bound train to cater to the increasing demand from passengers.

Said a WR official, "Train number 12480/12479 Suryanagari Express — which ferries passengers from Bandra Terminus in Mumbai to Jodhpur — will be augmented with a first AC coach on permanent basis."

The date of implementation will be February 4 for Bandra Terminus and from February 3 for Jodhpur, the official stated.

The WR had recently created a record on punctuality of long distance trains. With the Railway Board setting a target of 97% on punctuality, the WR trains were found to be 98% punctual in the present fiscal year, an official added.
