Fire breaks out in high-rise building under construction in Malad (East)

MUMBAI: A major fire broke out at a 42-storeyed building which is under construction at Malad (East), in Mumbai on Friday night. No casualty has been reported so far.

"The fire started at around 10.30pm on 37th floor which later spread to 42nd floor. The construction material stock was kept on the building's terrace. Eight fire engines and three ambulances and eight policemen are at the spot," said assistant municipal commissioner of the P-north ward DP Jain.

However, the fire officials don't have the system to reach the 37th floor, sources said.
